Outpost 207 version 2.012
Welcome to the re-vision of Royal Rangers, Outpost 207, World Harvest Church. We are pleased to update everyone by way of our "blog" and we look forward to a new season of Reaching, Teaching, Keeping boys for Christ.
While nationally we have undergone some "face changes" to include updating the curriculum, we remain focused on our ministry to boys by way of Godly mentoring. Our leaders are committed first to Christ personally and by our modeling of Christ, we expect to impart Christian values and principles as we join with them to pursue adventure. Our adventures take us through the Christ centered curriculum to encourage boys to excel in the accomplishment of merits which are of direct interest to each boy, allowing him to choose from a wide variety of interesting subjects. It may be technology, sports, science, literature, outdoors, nature, and certainly ministry.
Royal Rangers is intended to be boy lead, adult facilitated in order to give each boy opportunities to experience leadership first hand, training boys to become leaders as they grow spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. It is intended that each boy move forward into his next generation equipped to be leaders serving God in a life-long ministry in his family, community, and church.
Join us this year as we are set to celebrate nationally with the 50th Anniversary of Royal Rangers, and to attend the National Camporama at Eagle Rock, Missouri, July 9 - 13, 2012. This will be an adventure for all who attend and the planning is fully underway to provide exciting ministry, games, fun, and fellowship while celebrating the ministry that began in 1962 under the leadership of our first national commander, Johnny Barnes. We invite you to find the Camporama website at http://nationalcamporama.ag.org and review the planning for this great event.
As we move forward into 2012, we leave behind the hindrances and limitations of the past, and embrace all that God has for Royal Rangers at World Harvest Church, following the re-vision of our Pastor as he lays out the plans given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and imparted to each of the leaders of this great ministry. We join hand in hand with our Pastor and the leadership of the Royal Rangers ministry to make a difference one boy at a time but to every boy within our reach, trusting God's direction and Word to impact every boy and his family.
We trust you will join with us in support of the mission and goals to make a difference in the same way Christ did, as He went about doing good, teaching, delivering, healing, and all the while advancing the kingdom of God through everyday living.

Royal Ranger Groups
Welcome to Outpost 207, Royal Rangers at World Harvest Church, Columbus, Ohio. These are our groups as follows:
Discovery Rangers are grades Three through Five. At this age range we begin to do overnight camping, but many other activities and events geared to the level of abilities and interests. Advancements focus on additional hands on skills such as ropecraft, firecraft, toolcraft, compass, first aid, camping, but additionally we are now working on Bible merits. Boys grow four ways: mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. We challenge boys in all these as they learn leadership skills throughout our events, which includes recreation/games as they play and learn together. They may also attend leadership camps designed for their ages.
Adventure Rangers are grades Six through Eight. We continue to offer activities and events, with hands on training aimed at developing leadership skills, and life skills as they work on merits which help develop them mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. Our focus in all our meetings is our devotion time and gives them opportunity to hear with understanding on their level about God's word and what God has for each of us as we grow. They are eligible to participate in Junior Leadership Training Camps as well as pursue the Gold Medal of Achievement, a top award for Royal Rangers. Our training in grades Three through Twelve is merit driven.
Expedition Rangers are grades Nine through Twelve. Here we are on a more independent but directed course of life skills as young men are finding their way toward a career choice, life choices in relationships, and leadership skills, many already developing by roles they are engaged in. Activities and events are aimed to include "extreme games" and the most advanced skill levels available to boys and young men. Our Spirit Challenge curriculum offers each an opportunity to voice their questions and views of what God has to say and show, while we minister God's word with them. Some will return afterward to become adult leaders for this ministry, and certainly other ministries in the church.

Royal Rangers Outpost 207
Welcome to Outpost 207's blog. We will embark on a clean slate for 2011 and plans are underway to improve and bring new adventure to our ministry of men, mentoring future men, .. Reaching, Teaching, and Keeping boys for Christ.
It is our desire to have you go along with us and to be a part of what God will do this year through World Harvest Church Royal Rangers. We are anticipating new growth and of course adding new leaders as well as boys to our outpost. We invite you to consider being an integral part of this ministry to families at World Harvest Church, and the lives of others who we touch through this ministry.
As we begin our meetings for 2011, January 16th, Sunday evenings at 7 PM, we will plan to bring new focus on what we are about, and how we do what this ministry calls for. While some changes are necessary to comply with the National enhancements of Royal Rangers, there will be much that will not change, because it's working. Curriculum in content will see some changes, but the mission and goals of Royal Rangers both Nationally and locally will NOT change as we devote our goals to evangelizing, equipping and empowering boys. Our commitment is the same, as we mentor future men.
Locally we will work toward improving our visibility and effectiveness, through activities, service, and improved communication, for the boys, families, leadership and ministry of World Harvest Church. We will work to insure our boys are offered greater opportunity to advance in skills, rank, and recognition of their achievements.
All the above takes devoted leadership and that's where you may be able to add your strength to this ministry. As God calls each of us to go forward in 2011, winning the lost, discipleship of all we win, empowering those who already walk in right relationship through salvation, it will take additional leaders who are committed to following that calling of God to our children and youth. Our boys are the leaders not only of tomorrow, but already today are beginning to take their places in the church. Some will take our place at a point where God so ordains.
While there is a process to follow at World Harvest Church, it begins with stepping up to the plate to say "count me in". We invite you to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart right now about joining us. You will in the coming year realize what God has done in you and this ministry, as you look at the new face of Royal Rangers in 2011-2012.
Join with us in Royal Rangers and see what God will do.
God's blessing to each of you today.
